Pradeep Rao

Dr. Pradeep Rao is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the UWA Medical School, The University of Western Australia. He serves as Head of Department for Community Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) under WA Health since April 2011. His research focuses on child and adolescent mental health, particularly attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), psychopharmacology, and neuroimaging correlates of mental disorders. He has contributed to over 34 peer-reviewed publications and actively participates in research projects addressing mental health interventions and policy.

Key research interests include atypical antipsychotic prescribing practices, psychoeducational interventions for ADHD, and the role of neuroimaging in understanding developmental disorders. His work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals related to good health and well-being (SDG 3).
