Poul Bror Hemming Videbech is a Clinical Professor at the Department of Clinical Medicine, Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen. His academic career spans several decades with significant contributions to psychiatric research, particularly in affective disorders and neuroimaging.
His primary research interests focus on affective disorders (primarily depression) using imaging techniques, the interaction between mental and somatic illness, and the intersection of psychiatry with neurology, cardiology, and obstetrics. He has special expertise in mental illness during pregnancy and breastfeeding, as well as research on OCD and schizophrenia using imaging techniques.
