Piotr Maleszyk

Dr. Piotr Maleszyk is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Economic and Regional Policy, Faculty of Economics, Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (UMCS) in Lublin, Poland. He holds a PhD in economics and is actively engaged in research and policy development related to labor markets, regional development, and migration.

His research focuses on European labor market adjustment processes, regional development policies, and human capital dynamics, with over 40 publications. He has contributed to strategic documents like the Lublin 2030 Development Strategy and collaborated with institutions such as the Polish Association of Cities, Lublin City Office, and regional statistical offices.

He teaches courses on economic policy, social policy, labor market economics, and regional development in Polish and English. His practical expertise includes evaluating territorial self-government strategies, participating in Warsaw's economic policy projects, and conducting labor market research.

For consultations, he is available online via Microsoft Teams on Mondays and in-person on Tuesdays during the summer session of the 2024/2025 academic year.
