Pinar Oray-Schrom

Pinar Oray-Schrom, MD, CPE, FACP, FAAP, is an Associate Professor of Internal Medicine (General Medicine) and Medical Director of the Wednesday Evening Medical Student Clinic at Yale School of Medicine. She holds affiliations with the Department of Internal Medicine and Yale-New Haven Hospital Primary Care Center. Her academic appointments include roles in General Internal Medicine and clinician-educator tracks.

Dr. Oray-Schrom earned her MD from the University of Vienna (1998) and completed residency training at Yale University/Bridgeport Hospital Program (2002). Her professional activities include leadership roles in the Society of General Internal Medicine, American College of Physicians, and American Academy of Pediatrics. She has contributed to medical education initiatives, including curriculum development for chronic disease management and improving referral processes in primary care.

Her research focuses on clinical medicine and medical education, with notable publications on thyroid disorders, pediatric sepsis, and Mycobacterium avium-complex infections. She has received awards for medical education innovation and research excellence. Dr. Oray-Schrom actively participates in committees such as the Elective Review Committee and Yale Primary Care Progress Network, emphasizing healthcare access and quality improvement.
