Pilar Latasa

Pilar Latasa is a Full Professor at the Department of History, Art History and Geography, Faculty of Philosophy and Letters, University of Navarra. A specialist in colonial Peru, her research explores political and social history of the viceroyalty and Andean marriage practices through social history.

She has received fellowships at the John Carter Brown Library (2007, 2010) and conducted funded research stays in Lima (2001, 2005), Frankfurt (2012, 2016), and Berkeley (2011). She served on the Board of Directors of the Spanish Association of Americanists (2000-2012) and was Secretary General of the University of Navarra's Center for Indian Studies (2004-2017).
