Pietro Castellino is a Full Professor of Internal Medicine at the School of Medicine, University of Catania. He has held numerous leadership roles including Vice President of the School of Medicine (2017–present), Director of the School of Specialization in Internal Medicine (2007–2012, 2014–present), and Director of the Internal Medicine Unit at the Catania Polyclinic since 2001.

- 1987: Specialization in Diabetology (70 cum laude) from Catholic University of Rome
