Pietro Battiston is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics and Management at the University of Pisa. With a PhD in Economics from University of Milan-Bicocca, his research integrates behavioral experiments and network analysis to address environmental and fiscal sustainability challenges.
His interdisciplinary work applies experimental methods to study social preferences and normative decision-making in economic systems. Recent publications examine rule-following behaviors in contexts of social inclusion/exclusion and deliberative environmental policy processes.
Dr. Battiston collaborates with the Responsible Management Research Center (REMARC) on projects investigating societal transitions toward sustainable economies.
