Pierre Baduel

Pierre Baduel is a researcher at the Institute of Biology of the École Normale Supérieure (IBENS), leading the PÉpiTE Team focused on Polyploidy and Epigenetics of Transposable Elements. His work explores how genetic and epigenetic mechanisms involving TEs contribute to heritable phenotypic variation, particularly in the context of environmental changes.

Baduel utilizes Arabidopsis thaliana as a model organism due to its well-characterized genome and tools for ploidy manipulation. His research addresses the molecular basis of transgenerational epigenetic inheritance and the impact of polyploidy on TE control.
