Piero Triverio

Professor Piero Triverio holds a joint appointment as Professor in the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering and the Institute of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering. He is the Canada Research Chair in Computational Electromagnetics and has previously held the Canada Research Chair in Modeling of Electrical Interconnects.

Education:

• PhD in Electronic Engineering, Politecnico di Torino, Italy, 2009

His research spans signal integrity, computational electromagnetism, model order reduction, and the application of computational fluid dynamics to cardiovascular diseases. These interdisciplinary efforts bridge high-speed electronics and biomedical engineering, aiming to advance both circuit design and medical diagnostics.

Professor Triverio has received numerous accolades recognizing his contributions to engineering research, including multiple best-paper awards at premier IEEE conferences and the prestigious EuMIC Young Engineer Prize.
