Picozzi Silvia

Prof. Silvia Picozzi is a Full Professor at the University of Milano-Bicocca and affiliated with the Department of Physical Sciences and Technologies of Matter at Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR-SPIN). Her research focuses on quantum materials, particularly exploring spin-orbit coupling, multiferroics, 2D magnets, and topological phenomena. She investigates the interplay between spin, charge, and lattice degrees of freedom in materials like CrSBr, NiI2, and GeTe, leveraging computational methods to predict novel functionalities.

Key contributions include studies on ferroelectric control of spin textures, phase segregation in oxide films, and the emergence of topological solitons.
