Pia Pinger

Pia Pinger is Professor at the Department of Economics, University of Cologne, and serves as Speaker of the excellence cluster ECONtribute - Markets & Public Policy. She holds affiliations as IZA Research Fellow and CESifo Affiliate, with research spanning human capital, socioeconomic inequalities, and behavioral economics.

Her educational background includes a Ph.D. from the University of Mannheim.

Pinger's work employs causal inference methods to examine how early-life conditions shape lifelong outcomes.
