معرفی
Phoebe Hamilton is an Assistant Professor at the University of Maryland, affiliated with the Department of Physics. Her research focuses on flavor physics and high energy physics, particularly in experimental particle physics. She has contributed to the Large Hadron Collider Beauty (LHCb) experiment, playing a leading role in developing off-detector electronics and pioneering measurements of semileptonic b-hadron decays. Her work addresses lepton flavor universality and CP violation in challenging collider environments.
Education:
- BS in Physics, Youngstown State University (2007)
- PhD in Experimental Particle Physics, University of Maryland (2013)
Research Highlights: Hamilton’s contributions include advancing LHCb’s Upstream Tracker upgrade, proposing tools for decay reconstruction without b-hadron decay points, and exploring new measurements in hadron collider physics. Her recent work involves studies of matter–antimatter asymmetry and potential deviations from the Standard Model via lepton-universality-violating decays.
Labs/Teams: Active member of the LHCb collaboration, focusing on detector development and data analysis.
