Phillippe Cunningham

Phillippe B. Cunningham, PhD, is a Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). His research focuses on public health initiatives targeting adolescent obesity and improving health outcomes through digital interventions. He leads the Digital Wellness Nurse (DWN) study, a virtual family intervention program aimed at promoting healthy lifestyles among African American families. Dr. Cunningham’s work emphasizes behavioral science and technology-driven solutions to address nutrition, physical activity, and weight control challenges.
