Phillip Stobinsky is a doctoral researcher at the University of Hamburg's Faculty of Mathematics, Informatics and Natural Sciences, affiliated with the Institute for Wood Sciences and the Functional Forest Ecology group. His research focuses on functional forest tree ecology, tree biodiversity in forest ecosystems, root exudation and decomposition, and interactions between tree roots, soil, and mycorrhizae. He investigates the role of roots and mycorrhizae in forest carbon and nitrogen cycles.
Research Areas:
- Functional forest tree ecology
- Tree biodiversity in forest ecosystems
