Phillip Silver is a Professor of Music at the University of Maine’s School of Performing Arts, specializing in Studio Piano, Musicology, and Historical Music Studies. He holds a Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of Washington and prior teaching roles at Glasgow University, Strathclyde University, and the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. His research focuses on Holocaust-era musicians and promoting Israeli composers, with notable recordings on Toccata Classics and Koch/Schwann labels. He has performed globally at venues like Carnegie Hall and Wigmore Hall, collaborating with renowned artists such as Denes Zsigmondy and the Rachmaninov Trio.
