Philippe Met is a Professor of French at the University of Pennsylvania's School of Arts & Sciences. He holds editorial roles as Editor-in-Chief of French Forum and serves on multiple journal boards. His research focuses on literature, film, and poetry, with a specialization in horror cinema, graphic novels, and the aesthetics of poetic notebooks. He has authored over 60 refereed articles and book chapters, including notable works like Formules de la poésie and La Lettre tue, and contributed to prestigious editions such as the Pléiade collection of Francis Ponge’s writings. Current projects include a book on poetic notebooks (Fausses Notes) and studies on childhood in horror films and uncompleted film projects.
