Philippe Golay is a Full Professor at HES-SO and Head of the Research and Innovation department at La Source School of Health. He holds additional roles as Scientific Integrity Reference Person for the school and serves on the HES-SO health R&I committee. He is also a Private Lecturer at the University of Lausanne's Faculty of Social and Political Sciences.
His research focuses on psychometrics, psychiatric epidemiology, childhood trauma impacts, caregiver support, and mental health interventions. Notable studies include analyzing suicide attempt characteristics, mindfulness-based interventions for depression, and the role of winter birth in psychosis outcomes. He has co-authored over 20 peer-reviewed articles since 2018, emphasizing clinical applications and methodological advancements in mental health assessment tools.
His work bridges clinical practice and research, addressing topics like self-stigma reduction, caregiver coping strategies, and optimizing psychometric scales via computerized adaptive testing. He leads collaborative projects on early psychosis intervention and caregiver support programs, emphasizing practical solutions for mental health challenges.
