Philippe Gaillard is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biostatistics, Data Science, & Epidemiology at Augusta University's School of Public Health, where he also serves as Director of the Statistical Consulting Center. He holds a Ph.D. in Quantitative Methods in Education from the University of Minnesota (2009) and an M.A. in Research Methodology from the University of Pittsburgh (1993).
His research focuses on biostatistical methodologies applied to public health, veterinary medicine, and clinical studies. He teaches courses such as Biomedical Statistics and Programming for Data Analysis. Recent work includes studies on diabetes management efficacy, veterinary trauma analysis, and pediatric emergency protocols.
Dr. Gaillard actively contributes to institutional governance, serving on the School of Public Health Promotion & Tenure committee, the University’s Non-Tenure Track Faculty Promotion Policy committee, and the Georgia Cancer Center Protocol Review & Monitoring Committee since 2024.
His scholarly contributions span veterinary diagnostics, clinical trial design, and population health analysis, reflecting his dual expertise in statistical rigor and applied healthcare research.
