Philippe Chométy

Philippe Chométy is a Professor of French literature at the University of Toulouse - Jean Jaurès, specializing in Classical poetry from the 17th century to early 18th century. He serves as director of the Presses universitaires du Midi and editor-in-chief of the journal Littératures classiques. His institutional affiliations include membership in the PLH-ELH research team since 2009 and the Classical Literature Society since 2010. Since 2024, he has been a corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences, Inscriptions and Belles-Lettres of Toulouse.
