Philippe Briand is the President of the University of Savoie Mont Blanc, appointed in January 2025. A mathematics professor since 2008, he specializes in stochastic analysis, stochastic differential equations, and their applications in finance and partial differential equations. His research addresses quadratic backward stochastic differential equations and random mean-field systems.
