Dr. Philipp Warode is a researcher in the AI in Economics department at the Faculty of Economics, Humboldt University of Berlin. His primary role involves research and teaching in mathematical economics and optimization. He currently leads the Unsplittable Flows project (2025-2028) as a Principal Investigator (PI) alongside Martin Skutella.
Teaching focuses on mathematics for economics students, including:
- Lecture Mathematics I/II series since 2020
- Preparatory mathematics courses for bachelor/master students
- Operations Research fundamentals
Research interests center on optimization algorithms, network flows, and algorithmic game theory, with notable contributions to scheduling algorithms, combinatorial optimization, and equilibrium computation in congestion games.
Notable projects include collaborations on Homotopy Methods for Dynamic Flows (2022) and Flow Preserving Graph Contractions (2020-2021). His work is published in top venues such as SIAM Journal on Computing and Mathematical Programming Series B.
