Prof. Philipp Fürnstahl is a Professor of research for computer-assisted interventions in orthopedics at the University of Zurich, affiliated with Balgrist University Hospital. He leads the Research Group for Computer-assisted Surgery at Balgrist ROCS. His roles include directorship of OR-X and development of medical devices used in clinical settings.
Education: PhD in Computer-assisted Surgery from ETH Zurich. He holds a venia legendi (teaching qualification) in orthopedic research from the University of Zurich (2018) and was appointed to his current professorship in 2020.
