Philip de Goey

Philip de Goey is a Full Professor of Combustion Technology in the Power & Flow section at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). His pioneering research focuses on combustion science and sustainable energy systems, particularly metal fuels (iron powders), biofuels, and flame dynamics. He developed internationally recognized methodologies: the Heat Flux Method for burning velocity measurement and the FGM technique for combustion modeling.

His research explores laminar/turbulent flames, thermoacoustics, and energy conversion in gas turbines/engines. Current projects investigate metal fuel combustion cycles, iron particle ignition dynamics, low-emission burners, and sustainable fuel applications. Key research areas include:
