Dr. Philip Kains is an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Belhaven University since 2023. With a background in engineering, computer science, finance, and statistics from his undergraduate studies, he bridges interdisciplinary perspectives into his mathematical research and teaching.

Research Interests focus on Graph Theory and Matroid Theory, complemented by expertise in Linear Algebra. His teaching philosophy combines pedagogical rigor with his extensive coaching experience in baseball and basketball, emphasizing 'educate and encourage' principles.
