Philip Diamond

Philip Diamond serves as an Adjunct Professor at the International Centre for Radio Astronomy Research (ICRAR) at The University of Western Australia. His research spans gravitational wave physics, black hole physics, and radio astronomy, with particular expertise in data analysis from major observatories including LIGO and Virgo collaborations.

His research interests focus on gravitational wave detection, black hole mergers, and high-resolution radio astronomy. Professor Diamond has contributed significantly to gravitational wave astronomy through his work with the LIGO Scientific Collaboration and Virgo Collaboration, as well as to radio astronomy through the ASKAP telescope projects based in Western Australia. His work demonstrates strong interdisciplinary connections between theoretical physics and observational astronomy.

His recent publications highlight expertise in gravitational wave data analysis, particularly from the third observing run of LIGO and Virgo, as well as contributions to radio astronomy surveys.
