Philip Behrend is a Researcher at the Peter Behrens School of Arts, affiliated with the Department of Architecture & Design at Hochschule Düsseldorf. He has served as a Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter (scientific employee) since 2018 and held a lecturer appointment (Lehrauftrag) at Hochschule Düsseldorf from 2015-2018.

- M.A. in Baukunst (Architecture) from Kunstakademie Düsseldorf (2013), graduated with distinction and as a Meisterschüler of Prof. Karl-Heinz Petzinka
- B.A. in Architecture and Interior Architecture from Peter Behrens School of Architecture, Fachhochschule Düsseldorf (2008)
- State-certified Technical Assistant in Building Technology from Friedrich-Albert-Lange-Berufskolleg (2005)
His research and teaching focus on design fundamentals, furniture design, and interior architecture, with a particular emphasis on the intersection of product design and architectural education. He co-founded the Düsseldorf-based design firm Das Gute Ding UG in 2014 and has been active in both academic and professional design circles since his early career at Museum Insel Hombroich (2009-2013).
Philip Behrend is also a member and co-founder of the art and architecture group N222 Düsseldorf since 2007.
