Petya Georgieva

Senior Lecturer Petya Georgieva at the Department of Political Sciences, New Bulgarian University, specializes in Eastern European politics, populism, and European integration. She holds a PhD from Université Libre de Bruxelles (2005) and has held visiting professor roles at Sciences Po, Grenoble UGA (2022, 2024), and affiliations with LAREQUOI (2021) and ESPOL-Lab (2023) in France.

She leads the COST Action CA23114 RELINK² (2024-2028) and coordinates national projects on digital democracy. Awards include the Knight of the Order of Academic Palms (2020) from France.

Her publications span collaborations with French, Romanian, and Belgian institutions, reflecting her transnational approach to European political studies. She serves on editorial boards, including Hermès la Revue (2023).
