Petter Fjällström, MD and registered nurse, is a post-doctoral researcher at the Department of Community Medicine and Rehabilitation, Umeå University, Sweden. His work focuses on implementation of standardised cancer patient pathways, particularly in primary-care settings in northern Sweden.
Research interests:
- Standardisation of care processes in oncology
- Primary healthcare organisation and routines
- Health-services implementation and policy evaluation
- Diagnostic pathways for colorectal cancer
Across his 2021-2023 publications he consistently examines how new national cancer pathways are merged with existing primary-care routines, measures changes in diagnostic intervals, and explores socioeconomic equity in time-to-diagnosis.
