Dr. Petri Halinen is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Cultures at the University of Helsinki, Faculty of Arts. His academic work focuses on Finnish archaeology, cultural heritage, and prehistoric settlements in Northern Europe.

Research Interests: Dr. Halinen's research spans prehistoric Finland, Sámi culture, and the significance assessment of archaeological heritage sites. He has contributed extensively to understanding Mesolithic and Neolithic settlement patterns, including studies of circular villages (Siikajoki) and Sámi winter villages (Inari Nukkumajoki 5).
