Petra Vokata is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the Max M. Fisher College of Business, The Ohio State University. She holds a PhD in Finance from Aalto University School of Business, where her dissertation received the Highest Quality Dissertation Award. During her PhD, she was a visiting scholar at the University of California, Berkeley. Her research focuses on household finance, financial innovation, and consumer financial protection, with publications in top journals like the Journal of Financial Economics.
She teaches Investments to undergraduate students at Fisher College, covering valuation theories, market regulation, and derivative instruments. Her expertise spans behavioral finance, asset pricing, and derivatives. Vokata’s work examines the impact of consumer financial regulation and the effects of investment scams, contributing to policy discussions on retail financial innovations.
