Petra Scherer

Prof. Dr. Petra Scherer is a full-time professor at the Faculty of Mathematics, University of Duisburg-Essen, specializing in the didactics of mathematics and primary school education. She leads a research group focused on knowledge communication, curriculum development, and pedagogical training for mathematics teachers.

She contributes to bachelor’s and master’s degree programs with primary school teaching options and oversees research projects in mathematics didactics. Consultation hours are currently held by appointment only due to ongoing circumstances.
