Petr Denissenko is an Associate Professor at the School of Engineering, University of Warwick. He holds a PhD in applied mathematics from the University of Hull (2004), an MPhil in Plasma Physics from Novosibirsk State University (1996), and a BSc in Physics from the same institution (1994). His research focuses on Experimental Fluid Dynamics, including interfacial phenomena, emulsions, surface waves, energy spectra, and biological flows. He has extensive experience in fluid dynamics experimentation, spanning over 25 years across institutions like the University of Hull and HKUST.

Denissenko’s work explores complex fluid systems, including:

- Rotating flows: Analyzing turbulence in rotating fluids and vortex dynamics.
- Energy applications: Optimizing heat transfer in microchannel systems and microwave-assisted combustion.
