Peter Worley is a Visiting Research Fellow in the Department of Philosophy at King's College London, affiliated with the Faculty of Arts & Humanities. He holds roles as co-founder and CEO of The Philosophy Foundation, president of SOPHIA (European Foundation for Doing Philosophy with Children), and Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. His work focuses on applying philosophical methods in educational settings, particularly with children.
Worley earned a BA in Philosophy from University College London (2000) and an MA from Birkbeck, University of London (2004). His research interests include dialectic strategies, Socratic methods, and the practical implementation of philosophy in schools.
His publications emphasize pedagogical frameworks for philosophical inquiry, including works like The If Machine and The Philosophy Shop, which have garnered awards such as the Best Educational Book nomination and Bronze Awards from Primary Teacher Update.
