Peter Wainwright

Peter Wainwright is a Professor and Department Chair in the Department of Evolution and Ecology at the University of California, Davis. His research focuses on vertebrate evolution, functional morphology/biomechanics, and ecological physiology, with a particular emphasis on fish systems. He leads the Wainwright Lab, studying evolutionary innovations in feeding mechanisms, body shape diversification, and ecological adaptation in marine and freshwater environments.
