Peter Meisterjahn serves as Professor of Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, and Surface Technology at South Westphalia University of Applied Sciences in Iserlohn since 1992, affiliated with the Department of Computer Science and Natural Sciences. His career spans industrial R&D at Daimler Chrysler Dormier GmbH (1987-1991) and academic research at Heinrich-Heine-University Düsseldorf (1980-1987).

Publications from 2002-2005 reveal consistent specialization in semiconductor thin films, particularly doped SnO2 and TiO2 systems.
