Peter L’Official is a Visiting Faculty member and Associate Professor of Literature at Bard College, where he also directs the American and Indigenous Studies Program. His research focuses on intersections of literature, architecture, visual art, and Blackness in America. He authored Urban Legends: the South Bronx in Representation and Ruin (Harvard UP, 2020), exploring urban decay and cultural narratives. His writing appears in Artforum, The New Yorker, and The Paris Review Daily.
