معرفی
Peter Louis (Lajos Péter in Hungarian) is a distinguished Professor and Head of the Clinical Psychology Department at Gáspár Károli Reformed University's Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. With over two decades of academic experience, he has held previous positions as Head of Department at ELTE Gusztáv Bárczi Faculty of Special Education, Kaposvár University, and Kecskemét College. His academic journey includes a PhD in Educational Science (1998) from the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and an MA in Psychology (1994) from Eötvös Loránd University.
His research interests span multiple interconnected domains including the theory, diagnostics and therapy of speech continuity disorders; clinical psychology with emphasis on analytically oriented psychotherapy; and the analysis of attachment patterns in both adult and child stutterers. He has developed expertise in Ritual-Innovative Therapy (RIT) for stuttering treatment, which forms the basis of his doctoral dissertation and numerous publications.
His publication record demonstrates a clear trajectory of research evolution, beginning with foundational work on stuttering therapy methods in the 1990s, progressing to more specialized studies on attachment theory in relation to stuttering in the 2010s, and culminating in comprehensive textbooks and theoretical frameworks. His work bridges clinical practice with academic research, with particular emphasis on the psychological dimensions of speech disorders.
