Peter Kamminga

Dr. Peter Kamminga is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Law, VU Amsterdam, specializing in Property Law, Public Contract Law, and dispute resolution. He holds affiliations with UC Hastings College of the Law and Stanford University's Gould Negotiation Center. His research focuses on multidisciplinary approaches to complex legal contracting, emphasizing collaboration dynamics in contractual relations and conflict management. Prior to academia, he practiced law as counsel at de Brauw Blackstone Westbroek, advising on arbitration and large disputes.

Education: PhD from Tilburg University, LL.M. from Groningen University, and postdoctoral studies at Harvard Law School Program on Negotiation. His work bridges legal theory with social psychology, economics, and organizational behavior to optimize governance structures in complex projects.
