Peter K Lindenauer

Peter K Lindenauer serves as Chair and Professor at UMass Chan Medical School, with primary appointment in Healthcare Delivery and Population Sciences at the Baystate Regional Campus. He holds multiple academic appointments across the institution including in the T.H. Chan School of Medicine's Population and Quantitative Health Sciences department and the Morningside Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences where he contributes to the Masters in Clinical Investigation, MD/PhD Program, and Population Health Sciences departments.

Lindenauer earned his BA in History & Philosophy of Science from the University of Chicago, followed by an MS in Health Planning and Financing from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and completed his MD at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine. His educational background reflects a strong foundation in both clinical medicine and health systems research.

Dr. Lindenauer's research focuses on pulmonary medicine, particularly COPD management and outcomes, with significant contributions to health services research examining healthcare delivery, disparities, and population health.
