معرفی
Dr. Peter Jacobson is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland's School of Mathematics and Physics and leads the SPMQT Lab. He holds affiliate status with the ARC Centre of Excellence for Engineered Quantum Systems. Dr. Jacobson received his PhD from Tulane University in 2012 and previously conducted research at the Max Planck Institute for Solid State Research (Germany) and University of Graz (Austria).
His research focuses on:
- Quantum materials engineering for superconducting devices
- Atomic-scale characterization using scanning probe microscopy
- Terahertz nanospectroscopy of quantum systems
- Surface and interface engineering for quantum computing
Dr. Jacobson's recent publications demonstrate strong focus on superconducting materials (2025), terahertz characterization of quantum devices (2023-2024), molecular manipulation (2023), and spin engineering (2017). He maintains an active research program with four current grants supporting quantum materials development.
He currently supervises multiple PhD students in projects related to scanning probe microscopy for quantum devices, materials strategies for low-loss superconducting circuits, and molecular nanostructures. His lab offers projects for Honours, Masters, and PhD candidates focusing on atomic-scale manipulation and quantum device engineering.
