Dr. Peter Hubbard is a Senior Lecturer in Control Systems Engineering at the School of Electronic Electrical and Systems Engineering. With industrial experience at BAE Systems, his research aligns with current industrial needs to bridge academic and real-world engineering challenges.
His research interests include the development of advanced control strategies for rail and aerospace systems, particularly in areas such as wheel-rail adhesion management, low adhesion detection systems, and active control of trolleybus current collection. He also explores fault management and structural health monitoring in aviation and rail infrastructure.
