Peter Good

Dr. Peter Good is a Lecturer in History at the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Faculty of Liberal Arts and Sciences, University of Greenwich. He specializes in Early Modern Indian Ocean history, focusing on the Safavid Empire, Persian Gulf dynamics, and interactions between European East India Companies and non-European societies. His research emphasizes incorporating marginalized Persian perspectives into narratives of British colonial presence in the Gulf and examines cross-cultural exchanges such as European adoption of local practices like Persian wine consumption. He supervises topics related to Early Modern Iran, the Gulf, and the East India Company.
