Peter Dobers is a Professor of Business Studies at Södertörn University, where he has served as Head of the Department of Journalism and Program Director for the 2-year Master's program LeadSustain since 2022. Previously, he held professorial roles at Mälardalen University (2005–2015) and was a lecturer at KTH Royal Institute of Technology (2000–2005). He is also an Associate Professor at the University of Gothenburg. His leadership roles include Dean of the Faculty Board at Södertörn University (2016–2022), Vice Dean at Mälardalen University (2007–2010), and chair of various academic evaluation committees.
Education and Academic Background: Dobers earned his PhD in Business Administration from the University of Gothenburg in 1997, with a thesis on organizational strategies for environmental control. He completed postdoctoral research at the Gothenburg Research Institute and held visiting professorships at Umeå University (2006–2008) and KTH (2015–2016). He has conducted research stays at Stanford University (1999) and Stockholm University (2000).

Grants and Projects: He contributed to the EU Horizon2020 project ACCOMPLISSH (2016–2019) and has led studies on sustainable city development, stakeholder engagement, and translational research in environmental projects. He currently sits on the board of the Knowledge Foundation.
Evaluation and Leadership Roles: Dobers has served as an evaluator for academic research quality assessments (e.g., MER14 at Mälardalen University), a reviewer for journals and research funders (Formas, Riksbankens Jubileumsfond), and an opponent in over ten thesis defenses.
