Peter Crosthwaite is an Associate Professor in the School of Languages and Cultures at The University of Queensland, where he has been employed since 2017. Previously, he served as an Assistant Professor at the Centre for Applied English Studies at the University of Hong Kong from 2014. He holds an MA TESOL from the University of London and an M.Phil/Ph.D in applied linguistics from the University of Cambridge, UK. His academic roles include Deputy Head of School and Associate in the Applied Linguistics Program.
Dr. Crosthwaite earned his doctoral degree from the University of Cambridge, building on his MA TESOL from the University of London. His academic journey demonstrates a strong foundation in both theoretical linguistics and practical language teaching applications.
Dr. Crosthwaite's research focuses on corpus linguistics and data-driven learning, computer-assisted language learning, and English for General and Specific Academic Purposes.
