معرفی
Peter Christiansen is a Professor at the Department of Physics, Lund University, affiliated with the Faculty of Science. His research focuses on understanding the properties of the Quark-Gluon Plasma (QGP) through participation in the ALICE experiment at CERN's Large Hadron Collider. He has been a core contributor to ALICE since 2004, addressing questions about QGP dynamics, jet quenching, and novel phenomena in proton-proton collisions. His work bridges experimental physics with theoretical insights into quantum chromodynamics (QCD).
Research interests include:
- QGP properties and dynamics
- Jet quenching and medium effects
- Heavy-ion and proton-proton collisions
- Detector calibration and performance
- Neutrino oscillation studies via ESSnuSB
Recent publications analyze jet modifications in low-multiplicity collisions, neutrino decoherence, and ALICE detector performance. Key themes include exploring QGP-like phenomena at LHC energies and advancing experimental techniques for high-energy physics. Current projects include ALICE upgrades and the ESSnuSB neutrino beam experiment.
