Peter Bürgisser

Peter Bürgisser is a Professor of Mathematics at the Technical University of Berlin. His research focuses on algebraic and geometric complexity theory, numerical algorithms, and computational invariant theory. He has authored two monographs in complexity theory and co-authored Condition with Felipe Cucker, analyzing algorithm complexity via condition numbers. His current work explores random real algebraic geometry and applies numerical optimization to invariant theory.

He participated in the MPI MiS 'Summer School on Randomness and Learning in Non-Linear Algebra' as a keynote speaker. Beyond academia, he has a strong affinity for classical music, particularly the works of J.S. Bach.
