Peter Bruun is a composer, music theorist, and educator affiliated with the Danish University of Education. After graduating from the Royal Academy of Music in 1995, he worked as a freelance composer, creating orchestral, chamber, choral, and musical theatre works with a focus on singing. His academic credentials include a Master of Education (2016) and a PhD (2023) from the Danish University of Education, where his thesis explored the phenomenology of music creation and pedagogic processes of Bildung. In 2025, he will serve as a lecturer in methods and artistic development work and research.

He collaborates with the FIGURA Ensemble, contributing to musical theatre and educational initiatives like Små Komponister, which promotes creative music in general education.
