Peter Bouwknegt

Prof. Peter Bouwknegt is a Professor of Theoretical Physics and Mathematics at the Mathematical Sciences Institute (MSI), Australian National University (ANU). His research focuses on mathematical physics, with expertise in conformal field theory, string theory, K-theory, and geometric structures. He holds a PhD from the University of Amsterdam and an MSc from Utrecht University, alongside fellowships from the Australian Mathematical Society (FAustMS) and the American Physical Society (FAIP).

His work bridges theoretical physics and advanced mathematics, addressing topics like T-duality, spherical geometry, noncommutative spaces, and topological phases.
