Peter Bodor is a Professor at the University of Miskolc, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Department of Psychology. He also holds a professorship at ELTE Faculty of Social Sciences, Institute of Sociology, Department of Sociology. With a career spanning over three decades, he has contributed extensively to discursive psychology, qualitative research, and the study of emotions.
- Education: PhD in Social Psychology from Janus Pannonius University (1999-2003), Habilitation at Eötvös Loránd University (2013), and BA in Psychology from Eötvös Loránd University (1981-1986).
His research focuses on discursive psychology, emotion development, interactional order, and qualitative methodologies. He has led projects like the PRE-AND PROTOMORPHOLOGY study on language acquisition and the CSHSI e-laboratory on climate-human system interactions. His Erasmus guest lectureships include institutions in Greece, France, Germany, and Italy.
Notable scientific awards include the Széchényi and Bólyai Scholarships, alongside multiple Erasmus invitations. He founded the ELTE Social Psychology Laboratory (2007-2016) and serves on national scientific committees for mental health conferences. His editorial contributions include co-editing the "Psychology and Society" book series since 2006.
