Peter Barényi

Peter Barényi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Intermedia at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava, actively contributing to contemporary art through video installations, performance, and intermedia practices.

Research Interests: Barényi explores memory fragmentation and everyday rituals through experimental video and sound, exemplified in doctoral work 'Trying to Forget'. His practice bridges digital storytelling and physical installation, focusing on ephemeral social narratives and urban interventions. Teaching emphasizes technical mastery in video production while fostering conceptual depth in student projects.
